The beauty of the mission

I trust in his will

Why hello all you amazing people you. How goes it? How goes the lives of all of you? Here in Paraguay its going spectacular haha! Its starting to get really hot again and Its like the begining of my mission again a year ago. Its crazy I forgot it got this hot sometimes. It only brings back those hot summer day memories. A lot of sweat and water was involved I remember that. But this week was super awesome in its own way. We were able to have 3 investigators in church on Sunday and they are truly growing in their testimonies and I really hope that they can receive their true answer and decide to be part of this amazing gospel. We have also been working a lot in our dtermination to just be completely submisive to the Lord. This week Elder Pickering and I have really learned a lot from each other and I feel that we are growing and expanding ourselves to what the Lord wants us to be.
I was reading Doctrine and Covenants and this scripture really spoke to me and felt very good about it. DyC section 9 verse 8-9

” 6 Do not murmur, my son, for it is wisdom in me that Ihave dealt with you after this manner.
7 Behold, you have not understood; you have supposedthat I would give it unto you, when you took no thoughtsave it was to ask me.

8 But, behold, I say unto you, that you must study it outin your mind; then you must ask me if it be right, and if itis right I will cause that your bosom shall burn within you;therefore, you shall feel that it is right.”

And I thought about it and honestly I thought to myself and I found myself falling into maybe murmmuring in how things were turning out. That I really wasnt asking god to make know unto me and justr assumed that it would happen. But Its not like that because God is just and wants to help us.
And I know that if we trust in his will that we will be like Nephi. Just like it says in 1 Nephi 4: 6-7

” 6 And I was led by the Spirit, not knowing beforehand thethings which I should do.

7 Nevertheless I went forth, and as I came near unto thehouse of Laban I beheld a man, and he had fallen to theearth before me, for he was drunken with wine.”

Even though we may not always know whats going to happen if we just trust in him things will turn out just like they are supposed to. Well just wanted to share this but Love you guys miss all of you and until next week. ALways love the emails.

I cant Beleive its not butter

Hello all you amazing people who basically just kinda have to live with the fact that yopu get random emails from a guy in Paraguay. Well on this weeks episode of Paraguayn Adventure we had a Baptism on Saturday!!!! WOOO it was so awesome. Her name is Marina Lopez and she is the sweetest lady ever. It was a very interesting turn of events with her but she decided to be baptised.. Besides that amazing blessing we have been working real hard and we had 3 new investogators in church today which was super sick because there is just so many amazing people to work with and seeds that have been planted in peoples hearts about this gospel. Today also was super exciting because i decided to pay a quick visit to my first area Yukyry and it was such a amazing time. I went to see the Sanchez family the family converts that I have there and it was so funny to have all her kids just jump on me and yell Elder Martinez we missed you so much we always talk about you. And it just brough a really warm feeling in my heart. After they invited us to eat Lunch in there home and it was so sweet of them and to actually see the amazing blessing that the Lord has given them to now be able to be so much more prgoressed then before its beautiful. We also remninded each other of the promise we have that in FFebruary we will see each other in the temple for their temple family sealing. I am so excited for that time to come. I also cant beleive its going to be a year since then. After I went to visit some of my other converts there and they are still super active in the church and one of them is one of the best students in Seminary and it just makes me feel so blessed to have been a part of their lives.
Honestly the mission is probably the best thing that I have been able to do. And im still juist as excited as when I started. I can get really tiring and stressful but its worth it. Thank you all for your constant emails. And until next week.

Its been a short but long way (Aug 10th)

Hello everyone who is just an amazing person and finds them selves
reading the emails of this missionary in Paraguay.. How are yall doin?
This week was honestly a super fast week. We worked super hard and
really hard with the young Men as well. They are such a great help and
so enthusiastic to serve missions as well. Thats what made it a lot
more fun. Besides that the week we found this really awesome guy his
name is Julian. THis man is just so sweet. We just went to his door
one day and he invited us in gave us sandwhiches, then we went back
yesterday and he told us how much he loved talking to us and how great
he felt and how much he felt the spirit. I gave him my testimony of
the gospel and how amazing it is and how it makes us feel this feeling
of peace he feels but all the time not just when talking to
missionaies. He almost started to cry and said that he has never felt
somthing so true. It was such a blessing to share this experience with
him. Later he then brought out his guitar and sang to me like 3 songs
it was the awesomest thing ever. Then he asked me to sing for him and
i just got caught off guard because i hadnt really done it in a while.
SO i sang and he said it was also really beautiful so atleast i know I
havent completely lost my touch. lolol. I honestly really just love
the mission. And I love the people that i have met and the other
Elders ive gotten to work with. The sad part is is that 2 really good
friends of mine are ending there missions this week so I wont see them
for another year when I am back hoime and 1 of those 2 is my dad on
the mission so thats really hard for me because that crazy tall guy
taught me everything I know basically jaja and its just really sad to
say bye again after my last companion going home the last transfer.
And Elder Breton hes my mexican brother from another mother jaja. Its
just gpnna be very strange this transfer. But I love you guys and miss
you guys always love the emails. Until next week.

To be Meak and Humblle

Well hello my amazing friends and family and friends i consider family and people that unfortunatly just have to deal with these email haha. Well this week was actually one of the more speical weeks in my mission. Its just been full of a lot of moments of the Lords blessing in ones life that somtimes we dont really realize. A lot of the times in our lives we look for huge signs or rays of light or lighting to strike us when its just inside of other people. This week we found a young man named Miguel. Amazing kid and so much faith. The first thing he wants to know is “how to be part of us” and we just giggle becuase its not a huge secret. Point of the story is right as we are leaving he asks us if we can share a prayer with his grandmother. So we went in and offered a prayer after the prayer the old women grabs my hand the hand of a underaverage 19 year old boy and puts my hand close to her face and just thanked me so much and I didnt even know for what. And i couldnt help but to tear and hold her hand and let her know it would all be alright. The next day we went to our investogators home who we have been teaching and we were thinking we probably shouldnt continue with and mid lesson he stops us and tells us he knows. And we ask you know what? and he says that this is the true church. We just smiled and said we know and continued. It was amazing and to top it all off on Sunday we had no one come and just when we thought well all that for nothing. A new guy walks in through the door we have never taught but lives in our area and one of the kids of a less active family we helped come back to church walks over to me hands me a bag of cookies sits with me and sings with me. The man next to me was blind and heard me sing and cried and thanked me for singing so beautifully next to him so he could sing with us. Honestly this week was just amazing. And its this, this is the reason why I love being here. Why I love being here in the hot sun with broken shoes and everything. This week was so awesome. I also just recieved a new cover for my little hymn book and im attaching a picture so you guys can see it. Its of my family. Also I broke my shoe this month and I finally got new shoes today wooo. But thank you everyone for all your love and emails. It honestly is amazing. Until Next week.
