¿!¿! Mbaetekopio ?!?!
How is everyone!?!? I hope that you have all been fantastic. This week was super exciting because last week was super hot and in Paraguay when it gets hot its hot but this week is was all rain so it really cooled the temperature. The only thing is, is that in my area when it rains because its a lot of jungley and dirt area as well it all becomes mud. And lets just say I know a person whose leg has sunk in completely in the mud before up to his waist and yes it has been me. But at least its nice and cool now and i dont have my sweat cloth covered in sweat and dirt from my face. This week was also really amazing because we had this great turn out on Sunday. WHen it rains in paraguay peopel usually dont go to church I dont know why people are just scared of rain here. And our investigator Orlando did come but his story is a funny one.. So we went to go pick him up and he was asleep so we knew it was imporatant for him to go so we woke him up and he got up. He saw it was raining and he was ready to go back in so we told him to do a prayer with us and maybe that would give him more motivation. SO he did and when he finished the Sun came out. And he was like what?!?!?!??! and we were like Jaha! (lets go in GUarani) So we got him to go and as soon as we got off the bus to walk towards the church it started to rain again but it gave us enough time to actually take him to church and it was so funny to see his face becasue he looked at me and said Elder Martinez I hate you. But i told him no no Orlando never hate only strongly dislike and he says fine I dislike. We had a good laugh but by the end of Sacrament meeting he looked so happy. I asked him if he enjoyed himself and he said yes it was a great feeling just like always and Im happy you made me come in the rain. He was happy and didnt even mind comuting back in the rain because he was filled with this Love for the Lord and knew he was on his side. It was beautiful its just truly beautiful To be part of this work.
“Bear one another’s burdens, that they may be light; … mourn with those that mourn; yea, and comfort those that stand in need of comfort, and to stand as witnesses of God at all times and in all things, and in all places that ye may be in, even until death, that ye may be redeemed of God, and be numbered with those of the first resurrection, that ye may have eternal life.”
It turly is amazing because I remember meeting him and he was just so full of questions and sometimes I would sit there and not know what to actally tell this man. Until I came to the conclusion while listening one the EFY songs and I told him that all that doesnt matter but the fact that this gospel is the fruit that feeds all his hunger. Its what holds all the turth he seeks. And now he is on his way to his baptism this 24th.
Honestly what pushes me to even be out here is when i think “How can I keep this gift to my self When i can lift somebody else I am a witness of his miracles and his mercy” I have put my future in his hands Knowing he’s made me all I am When I put my faith in him the truth begins to speak. Strengthening my knees that bend in despair Reaching the hopeless hearts who do not know his love. Seeing their lives begin to change I know ill never be the same” its just this amazing privledge I have and the Lord has allowed me to share in his happieness to see his children make the right choices.
“Behold, hath the Lord commanded any that they should not partake of his goodness? Behold I say unto you, Nay; but all men are privileged the one like unto the other, and none are forbidden.”
