The Howl

Hello everyone well this week was very interesting and fun. It was  a lot of fun becasue we actually got to have an activity for mothers day here a little late but we did it so that super awesome. The youth put on a lot of cool skits and dances and scenes i was very impressed. It was a lot of emotional stress because a lot of things have been going on in our area and some of the members in our area all at once started to go through some really hard trials so that is always a lot of emotional stress for us as missionaries because we have honestly just gorwn to love these people so much. Then we went to do our Sunday sacrament meeting with the tribe we have here the Tobacons and right in the middle there were some monkeys in the trees who started to howl while we were all wlaking in and when we started to sing. It was actually super awesome. So we will see what happens this next week. Its never boring here in Benjamin Aceval so it keeps me entertained.

They say we are freaks

Hello everyone. Whats up whats going on in your amazing lives? Everything here in Paraguay is pretty chill you know the temperature is really starting to drop and its getting a bit cooler. But its been a really awesome week. So this past week Ive ostrachis on a Division I had I also saw a few tucans flying in my area oh and a Member in my branch just bought a pet pig. Its like 10 days old and its the most precious thing ever. We also had an activity in our branch where a lot of the members participated and understood what it meant to stick to the iron rod. Liz is progressing very well and she will be baptised the 28th of May and she is very excited to take that step in her life. Oh mothers day in Paraguay was also this past sunday so that was cool. The relief Society President had me paint the gifts for the moms and I got a special shout out by her and all the moms were super happy it was a tender moment. Also today we had a Birthday for my ex companion and future room mate at school jaja it was really funny we went to TGI Fridays with a couple of missionary frinds it was a lot of fun. Well hope you all enjoyed your weeks as well until next week.

What his love has made of me

Hello my Friennds and Family that are so awesome and read my emails. So this week was pretty interesting and great at the same time. So I was able to go on some divisions this week and it was a lot of fun. I always learn so much from the missionaries in my Zone i think thats my favorite part about being able to do divisions. Also our Recent convert Victor is doing so well. He is really getting into his book of mormon reading. We are also working with 2 more of our investigators to be baptised at the end of this month so I hope that goes well. I mostly just feel so much love from my area and the members here. They all invite us over for food and ask if they can go out to do visits with us and that always helps out a lot. I know Jesus Christ is our savior and he is perfect and the way he worked he came to do all righteousness and that he didnt come to be popular but to preach. But I like that people in my area like me, that they make me feel loved. Its a time where I really do put all my problems on the back burner while I help others with their problems. Also this week was super awesome I got a picture with a monkey!!!!!! It was so cute and addorable. Im excited and there was a lot of beautiful scenary this time around. It also started getting cold finally. So its a nice turn of events.

Thanks to everyone for always youre support. Im also excited Happy Mothers day for every mom out there and that I get to skype my mom for the last time before i see her in person.

I keep on coming back for more

I stayed hooray!!! So I stayed in my area of Benjamin Aceval which I am excited about because its actually a really cool area. But my companion left. But this week was pretty excitiing in its own way. SO we had a lot of changes in our Zone and a lot of the missionaries here are super awesome so itll be a fun change. And We are working with 2 of our investigators who will hopefully be baptised this upcoming month. Oh okay so also before I forget we got to eat more lion this week haha. We ate lion epanadas which were pretty tasty so that was exciting. And turns out the Member really enjoyed my cooking so she asked me to make her son a Birthday cake for Sunday because she wanted to invite us over for lunch and for the small get together.

This has also been a tough time for me on the mission. I dont really understand a lot of things still. I struggle with a lot of faults and I try to keep getting better. I know that the mission is hard. But I really think of the promises and blessings we can receive from serving the Lord as well as serving our brothers and sisters.

I was asked to give the class this last Sunday where we studied the talk from General conference. it teaches us ways we can be the help and sustain for others. Little things like smiling and saying kinds words to others. And i started to think that fgor the past year and 8months i have put all of my problems to the side like they dont matter. And have been focusing on how do i help this person in front of me. And thats why I just want to keep coming back for more.

I know that this work is amazing. I hope I can keep being a usful insturment in the hands of my God my Heavnly Father.

Its coming

Hello everyone well its that time of the week again. When this really weird annoying guy from Paraguay emails lol jk. But really hi. Well so another thing that has come around again is changes ahhhh. Tomorrow we find out who leaves who stays and stuff like that and I really want to stay so I hope everything works out the way it has to. This weekend we had a Baptism for our convert Victor Palma. He is this amazing young guy who works to help his mom provide for him and his 6 younger siblings. Victor is 15 and is sucha an example. How every morning he was woken up early to help his mother make her plant medicne she sells so he can attend church. He is so great. And I feel so blessed to have met him here in Benjamin Aceval. Im really Loving my area and it has been a lot of fun getting to know all these people. Oh we made Home made bread this week with one of our investigators it was a lot of fun and we also helped our recent converts make brooms because they make them and sell them for a living. So if anyone needs a broom let me know haha. but really though it amazes me how much these people make a living out of these talents they have. How the Husband goes out everymorning to cut dow branches and pick the twigs and the wife binds all of it together with rubber from used wheels. It was really a great experince for me to help them and learn how to make a broom. Oh also perks of being in the chaco a Sister in our Branch who gives us lunch of firdays fed us Lion?!?!?!?!?! WHAT!?!?!? I know it was very delicious. lol. Then I cooked this last friday because that was the deal she would make something crazy and if i liked i had to cook the following week haha. But after that deal i dont think ill be cooking for a while haha. But the scripture I have been ponderizing this week was Jacob 4:11 in the book of Mormon and it says.
11 Wherefore, beloved brethren, be reconciled unto himthrough the atonement of Christ, his Only Begotten Son,and ye may obtain a resurrection, according to the powerof the resurrection which is in Christ, and be presented asthe first-fruits of Christ unto God, having faith, andobtained a good hope of glory in him before hemanifesteth himself in the flesh

Its funny because this week was actually really rough on my health. We were also really sturggling because not many people are being open with us espically in the area Im in because there is a huge Catholic Church in the center of town so everyone goes there and is really closed off. But I am trying to be really optimistic and we are still teaching atleast 6 of our investigators and trying to help them with there trials so they can continue prgoressing towards their celestial goal. Honestly it really is a blessing and a privledge to help people come closer to Christ and have their faith and Hope be centered around him. Its like the potters clay. When are lives are centered in Christ we can become these marvelous works of art. This weekend we also had Stake conference and the missionaries were invited to attend. I was so happy to see so many familiar faces. Because Im actually back in the stake where I first started my mission and my first baptisms actually were at stake conference super strong and active a year and half later. Honestly thats truly what brought me to tears that day. For them to remember me and thank me for something I didnt even do. SOmething I just brought to them. Everyday I feel blessed that even when we go through are hard times there are good times involved.

But today was full amazing times. So Im sure yall are like why is there a BYU thing in this email. So I got a call from my friend who is telling me check your email the BYU applications are out. SO I get to the closest cyber and I log on and I am have been accepted for the fall semester and Brigham Young University….. SO I dont know if many of you know this but I had applied to BYU provo out of a draw because I already had a seat at BYU Idaho and ¬†I was planning on going back. But yeah I have been dreaming of this school since I was like 13 and I cant beleive I got in. On other news. Today I was super Trunky because one of my old comps bought me a cool hat that I wqasnted for congrats and took to me to this new york style pizza place here in Paraguay. And I attached some pics and It was legit. Nothing better then being amongst missionary friends eating Neew York style pizza reminding me of home in a hot country. But thanks tro everyone. For your love and support. And Until next weeek.

New shoes, new rocks to break them in

Hello everyone!!!! SOOOOO I got new shoes this week woo. SO I sent a picture of my 3 pairs of shoes that got wrecked here in PAraguay but i think they are just really awesome memories lol. And Now i have a new pair to break into while im in my area. Rocks and hills. This week has been rather interesting because well we didnt have a phone because it got stollen woooo. But today I got a new one and because of how hot it was I got some of my old companions that are still here and we went for some all natural smoothies. Paraguay might not be a first wrold country but sure has beauty and a lot of natural fruit so a lot of natural smoothies and on hot days they taste amazing. But the heat is getting ridiculous again and a bit hotter then last year which makes working and white washing an area a little less fun because most of the time we are out walking and going up rocky hills. But the other day I felt like praying for maybe some sort of advice to work effectivly in the heat lol I dont know I just felt like asking. And I read in Mosiah chapter 24 and this is what stood out:  12 And Alma and his people did not raise their voices to the Lord their God, but did pour out their hearts to him; and he did know the thoughts of their hearts. 13 And it came to pass that the voice of the Lord came to them in their afflictions, saying: Lift up your heads and be of good comfort, for I know of the covenant which ye have made unto me; and I will covenant with my people and deliver them out of bondage.

14 And I will also ease the burdens which are put upon your shoulders, that even you cannot feel them upon your backs, even while you are in bondage; and this will I do that ye may stand as witnesses for me hereafter, and that ye may know of a surety that I, the Lord God, do visit my people in their afflictions.

15 And now it came to pass that the burdens which were laid upon Alma and his brethren were made light; yea, the Lord did strengthen them that they could bear up theirburdens with ease, and they did submit cheerfully and with patience to all the will of the Lord.

And so I learned that I am just going to give it a shot right. God does put trials in our lives but they are a lot different then temptations. The trial is white washing in this heat. So he doesnt promise to make it cooler or the people come to us but he does bless us with the strength to carry the work forward. And thats why I loved this scripture he gave the people his spirit to give them strenth to carry forward there work to lightn it but not take it away that is different. The purpose of our lives is to learn and grow. Our Heavnly Father wants us to succeed gloriously. I have been feeling really uplifted lately because Im not gonna lie its been pretty the past 2 transfers and im really just trying to be patient with learning what God wants from me. But I will have faith in him. Id like to thank everyone immensly for this last week. The emails were extra speical they helped me a lot thank you.¬†ūüėĀ. Also happy Valentines day to everyone and hope you a great day‚̧.
Thank you everyone and hope you enjoy the pics this week.

The Bumps of the Mountain

Hello to all you amazing people from my emailing list. I hope youre weeks have been super amazing and full of blessing and awesome new stories to write in your life story books. Im doing well i guess. Im just brurning here on the streets of Paraguay by the heat intesity of a thousand suns. My shoes actually broke this week ūüėĀūüėā they are how you say hungry? The whole front is now open lololol. Its about time though and my other shoes are opening from the side and its funny because i have been taking care of them super well. But Ill be sending over those pictures next week because i forgot my camera this week. But this week has super awesome and interesting. So at this point of my mission im pretty much just using everything Ive learned to take on this white wash or cleaning of the area to help me get around. And we actually are having 2 baptisms this 30th of January and I have had a lot of success and

1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season;reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

3 For the time will come when they will not endure sounddoctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.

7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown ofrighteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

9 Do thy diligence to come shortly unto me:

Thank you to all of you who always give me this love and support that I need to keep moving forward I am very grateful for it. Heres a really good quote I like. and i know this mounatin journey is hard but we are prepared. Thank you all. ūüėÜ

Concepcion bound

SO guess who received changes….. I did so I have left Itaugua and it was a very sad goobye. I grew to love that area so much and it was even more sad because the people had gotten so used to me for being there so long we all thought i was staying more. But a las it couldnt last forever. And now i am in…… Concepcion dun dun dunnnnn!! LOL so everyone bascially always talks about this place like its some amazing/hard/hot place and I guess im just really excited to be here. Its realllly HOT though and my area is underwater but ill be sending those pics over. ANd then I can say I survived cincepceion in the summer.

Honestly its really crazy for me right now because I have basically been in the center for my whole mission and now im really far. Concepcion is one of the more further areas. I took a really fancy double decker busses for 6 hours up north so Im really far away. Im kinda of excited in the aspect that I get to serve out here now and I know that The Lord definetly calls us to where we are needed, And I guess there is something the Lord needs me to do here in Concepecion. Is also awesome because I will be speniding christmas here!!!! So thats going to be fun.

SO ive uploaded some pictures for yall. And hope you enjoy themDSCF8119 - copia.JPG

Holy Cow the lights are back!

How do you find yourlves my friends? Good I hope.
I am good as well. This week was pretty intense if I do say so myself. Lets start out with a PAt on the back for my companion and I we were able to visit all the 12 neighborhoods in our huge area this week what what!!!! SO thats actually quite an accomplishment. But the reason for the title of my email is what also happened this week.¬†ūüėďūüėʬ†We had this super crazy Tropical storm hit and it was a lot worse then I thought it was going to be.¬†‚ėĒ¬†So the rain hit at around 4 in the morning. All I is the power go out and the fans stop and then the window slams wide open and we hear the rain and see all the lighting it looks like the final battle at hogwarts. I whisper to my companion who is still asleep and he says shhh i fell the mist on my face and im just looking at him. Then there water everywhere and Im just like nuhuhuh im not doing this so I went back to bed.
The next morning…. no power no water all our books are wet water on the floor and we already know its going to be a service day. I dont have pictures becaue i felt like it wouldve been disrespectful. But roofs were taken out, houses were destoyd and treees were all fallen over. It was a disater.
But this week was also Fast and testimony meeting and the testimonies were amazing. Everyone just really learned a lot from the storm. It felt super inspiring and amazing. This week I also started to see a lot of the spirtual promptings that exist. And how it all helps us really do the errand of God. Because the action that the spiritul prompting had you do could have beeen the answer to someone elses prayer. And how amazing feeling is that. ūüėä
I know that my savior and redeemer lives. And I know god lives and that he loves all of his children. I know that in the world we have a lot of suffering and that its very hard but all of it is there to help us grow. No we are not perfect but from what I know and beleive is that one day we will be and thats thanks to our Savior Jesus Christ. I know that thak to him I was able to have a baptism for the remission for my sins. And what better thing to proclaim unto the people than that this truth is availabe to them too.

7 For a small moment have I forsaken thee, but with great mercies will I gather thee.

8 In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment, but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the Lord thy Redeemer.

This scripture is amazing its found in 3 Nephi 22:7-8

Thank you all for your emails and support. Also here s a picture of this awesome water thermal i got here. They are super popular thermals here in PAraguay cause its soooo hot and they drink a lot of cold water and terrere. IMG_1371[1].JPG
